Panettone: The iconic Italian Christmas tradition.

Pronounced "pah-net-taw-ne". Panettone is the Christmas quintessential yeast-leavened sweet cake. This celebratory Italian Christmas cake originated when the Duke of Milan’s chef forgot his dessert in the oven, causing it to burn.
